In the pic above, I’m walking across the Silver Suspension Bridge to cross the Colorado River in the Inner Gorge at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Deborah and I are just beginning the rigorous hike up Bright Angel Trail to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The day before, we hiked down by way of the South Kaibab Trail from the South Rim. Before beginning the hike back up, we spent the night in a cabin at Phantom Ranch, the storied National Park Lodge at the bottom of the canyon.
